National Geographic’s Amazing Planet: Destructive Forces showed many fast pace images and the narrator’s voice was hypnotizing.

Those of you who are familiar with Lonely Planet/Globe Trekker might recall this particular episode with Ian Wright…his last destination in South America was El Salto Angel, or Angel Falls…it was totally breathtaking! Ian’s walking in the evergreen Amazons, when suddenly he starts hearing a thunder…it gets louder and louder, and suddenly before you appears the most magnificient scene in your life- The mystic falls thundering from a height of 807 meters with a cloud of water vapour at the base, which gives the whole place a heavenly feel. Would you resist such temptation?

Jump off the top by parachute.

I saw a 60 year old guy do this – he said it was the last thing he wanted to do before he died – he did it but it wasn’t.

Aside from the fact that it is the worlds highest waterfall, I love the fact that it is so remote. What a great reason to take a helicopter ride!

The serenity of “El salto Angel” or Angel Falls is so impacting that you will never want to look away; It is so beautiful!!!!!
A tip: take lots of pictures, or, If you have a video camera, film as much as possible; you are going to want this awsome memory. Also, sometimes there are tours that are led by a native and they can take you to the very top of the Angel Falls. I don’t know the full details yet, but, I will post when I find out. Have fun!!!!!
