Around Leicester Square Pagodas
Around Leicester Square you will find London’s Chinatown.
In the streets around the square are countless Chinese shops and restaurants. The main street has pagodas at the beginning and the end of the street. A nice detail is that even the famous English phone boxes have roofs representing Chinese pagodas.
I’ve eaten at about a half dozen places—always crowded, noisy, with ok to good fare.
Although everywhere I found so far has been ok value, I’m still searching for a great restaurant to make my ‘destination chinese dinner’ in London… so far I’ve had much better luck with Indian, Thai, Nepalese and even Italian food in London than with Chinese, but this area itself is enjoyable enough that I’ll keep searching.
