Royal Botanic Gardens

It’s a testament to the good forces of the universe that places like this can still exist in the middle of cities. It makes life sane.

The gardens, just a short walk around the water’s edge from the Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay, are incredibly beautiful as are the harbour views from the hill. Sitting here and looking out on the harbour is to find hours shrinking away.

The gardens are touted to have more than one million specimens but who’s coounting? Just taking it in in broad sweeps makes for a wonderful afternoon.
