Königswinter
Worth visiting!
Direct neighborhood to Bonn, yet lovely landscape
I enjoy very much living in Königswinter.
It’s near enough to Bonn for work, shopping, and all other things I would usually want. For all other things there is Cologne within 35km.
On the other hand, you are living within the “Naturpark Siebengebirge”, one of the largest national parks in Germany. It is a bunch of seven (therefore “Sieben”gebirge) hills (well, in fact, it’s more like fourty), of which the most famous, the Drachenfels, is known far beyond the borders. It’s the mountain which is mounted second most in the world (number one being the “Zuckerhut” in Rio de Janeiro).
In Heisterbacherrott, small part of Königswinter with about 4.000 inhabitants, you live within the hills, meadows, and on clear days you have a marvelous view to the Dome of Cologne.
