This place is very beautiful. And yes as mentioned before, reserve a camping spot ASAP, especially if you want a group site. All summer weekend group spots are typically booked full 4 months in advance.

A definite must see! Excellent camping walking distance to 2 beaches, lake for swimming, boating and fishing, excellent sunsets! ~$23 to camp for one night! Well worth the trip from Vancouver, BC.

I was visiting family in Oak Harbor and the said I couldn’t leave without seeing Deception Pass and riding on the ferry. They also couldn’t wait to tell me that this was place where scenes from The Ring were filmed. This movie freaked me out to the max. So, needless to say, it was a pretty intense experience. I would love to go back any day.
