Ueno Park

cherry blossoms.. pigeons. really great park!

I’m often disappointed when I go to Ueno park… partially because it’s such a dirty, scummy place. But in Cherry Blossom season it’s pretty nice… you spend most of the time looking up at the Sakura, that your not concentrating on the scum beneath your feet. The street vendors are pretty good too… if a little unhygenic. I love watching them make the food… and the takoyaki is pretty tasty. There’s a lot of museums and galleries to visit too… but you’ll pay a pretty penny to see a few.

Worth visiting for the museums inside the park. A nice break from the city.
