Mile 0 of the Mackenzie Highway to Yellowknife

Situated along the highway, in the centre of town is the Grimshaw Tourist Booth. The Mile Zero Monument marks Mile Zero of the Mackenzie Highway.

The Mackenzie Highway was named after the explorer Alexander Mackenzie and was the vital supply route to the north. The highway travels to Fort Simpson through Fort Providence where it intersects with the start of the highway to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories.
