Forces of Nature: a Volcanic Beauty

Diamond Head is located in the southwestern portion of Garibaldi Park and features Mount Garibaldi, Atwell Peak (a volcanic pinnacle), the Opal Cone, Garibaldi Névé and Mamquam Lake.

Great for a summer day hike or, if you don’t mind a fair amount of altitude change, cross country sky in the winter … but only if you have mountain wilderness experience.

An Alpine cabin can be found at the end of the tail if you are inclined to carry your sleeping bag… but no services..
