Stiff climb to the best view imaginable — 2 years ago
Worth visiting!
Truly sea to sky… starting from Lion’s Bay it is a heafty walk to the (not quite straight up… it just feels like it… and your knees take a pounding on the way back down… so don’t do it without proper footware!
But it is a hike, not a climb, to one of the most beautiful vista within the Vancouver areas… from the ridge you can see both Howe Sound and in the distance Georgia Straight.
The Tantalus Mountain range is to the west and Burrard Inlet and Greater Vancouver in the other…
A day hike, but weather in the mountains (especially costal mountains) can change moment to moment… so don’t take a chance on getting wet and cold … even at low altitudes hypothermia can be an issue if you are not aware.
