    Worth visiting!

I love this trail. My family goes backpacking from the Cape Alava/Sandpoint area south, and it is always gorgeous, strenuous, and rainy :) Yellow Banks has the best collection of starfish and sea anenomes that I’ve ever seen, and actual sea shells everywhere. Norweigian Memorial is a great spot too!

Well, Cape Alava is a really cool area, but it’s definitely not easy to get, too. I was there in an early June and it was very quiet, a little chilly and grey.
It is beautiful and is considered to be the Western most point of the U.S. (coterminus = connected to the land). Contrary to what some of the trail maps indicated, some of the trails are a little more challenging than stated (and I was running everyday at the time, and I was a little surprised!)
