Land's End by David Soul

The southernmost point of Australia is South East Cape, in far-southern Tasmania (latitude of 43 degrees 39 minutes).

To get there, you must travel two hours south from Hobart until the end of Australia’s southernmost road.

Here is Cockle Creek, a tiny coastal settlement boasting peaceful camping and a rich history. South East Cape is an easy two to three hours’ walk from here. Set on the edge of Tasmania’s World Heritage Area, Cockle Creek draws those who seek the wonder of the wilderness. … A sign near a Whale Scuplture proclaims “Land’s End”

it truly is, as the Next stop is Antarctica!!!!

I visited here as part of my series of stops to “dip my toe” in the ocean at southern most places in the world… if you are into wilderness the World Heritage area is worth the trip.
