Why I want to go to this place
I hear the shark activity is amazing in that area… enough said!

Why I want to go to this place
I want to go and visit the home of First Sighting Winery, as they became part of my trading from one matchstick up to offices (See http://onematchstick.blogspot.com/). They are the Southernmost Vineyards in Africa! Check them out here: http://www.firstsighting.com

Worth visiting!
Cape Agulas is the southermost part of the African continent
As one of my “43Things” I visited Cape Agulas to “stick my Toe” in the ocean at the most southern points of each of the world’s major landmasses….This is the southernmost point of Africa….as a bonus you get two oceans in one… this is where the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean meet… the impact that the difference in water temperature has on the ecosystem as you travel east versus as you travel west is dramatic to say the least… different flora, fauna, birds and wildlife… in a very short geographical spread.
The old white and red banded lighthouse here is a museum and National Monument.
Cape Agulhas is an often windy, but not desolate (I even had a good meal here)—its certainly not nearly as desolate a place as the other places that are billed as being ‘the end of the earth.’
All in all, its a well worthwhile drive across the South African Country side to the Cape that can be combined with a return drive by ocean roads including tavel through the coastal town of Hermanes.
But, if you don’t have much time, chose the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point just south of Cape Town before you do this.
