Chuy’s is my absolute favorite Tex-Mex restaurant, ever since I first visited the one on Barton Springs in Austin in 1986. The creamy jalapeno dip is oh-so-good!

Pretty good.
I liked the Chuy’s in Houston when I went there. I got some kind of vegetarian item that was pretty good. However, I must say that every time I’ve been to Chuy’s in Austin it’s been disgusting.

The mecca for Tex Mex.
Okay, aside from the fact that sometimes it can take you twenty minutes to find a parking space and up to forty-five minutes to get a table during peak hours, you should really visit. It’s an Elvis-themed Tex Mex place with a really fun atmosphere.
The waitstaff is always friendly. The food can’t be beat. Make sure to try Queso Compuesto as an appetizer. It’s queso topped with pico de gallo, beef, and guacamole.
