Arenal Backpackers Resort by Swillett
Only $5 pp for the 4.5 hour journey from San Jose to La Fortuna.
Once we arrived here, it was a 5 minute walk up the street to the Arenal Backpackers Resort where we are staying. It’s fun because we are sleeping in a tent with mattresses!
According to my travel guide, this place is arguably the nicest hostel is the country. It has a gorgeous pool, restaurant on site, dorm rooms, and private rooms (although the private rooms are a little pricey – like $50 I think).
Awesome place to stay!
