Interlochen

I went to Interlochen Arts Camp for three summers and was a counselor for one summer. Those summers were some of the happiest times I have known, and if it were not for Interlochen, I would probably not be a musician today. Sadly, IAC has changed along with the times—a necessary and welcome development for me, but it is sad to think that a lot of what made Interlochen special for me is no longer there. Still, perhaps I will teach there someday.

Interlochen hardly even qualifies as a town. The only real reason it is know is for the Interlochen Center for the Arts which includes a summer camp and boarding school. Check out the cheap performances going on year-round.
