We drove around for hours, asked a girl at mcdonalds, found the cemetary and wandered. When we found the grave we sat in silence. Prayer and meditation. Contemplating human being. Walking back to the car, thanking him. Turn on the car, I just want to sit. The radio’s on turn it off- WAIT! Stevie Ray’s playing Little Wing… the last few measures. Thank you. No words. Sublime.

the family moved Jimi’s grave to a different area, placing it inside a large memorial which also contains the original headstone and the headstones of other family members…
