Plaka

I came here, at night, with my tour group, by taking the athens metro, which was so much fun, especially because we were a group from Alberta, and we ended up running into a group from Saskatchewan on the train. Plus, when walking in the plaka, a girl that I was not very fond of sprained her ankle and had to go to hospital, and so her and her atrocious mother did not partake in the following day’s activities. Yes! PLus, seeing the parthenon at night was cool.

plaka is darling. lots of little shops with the same junk-dont let yourself get ripped off

The plaka is great if you know what to look for and what to avoid, dont forget to haggle. Look at the buildings they are so old it makes you wonder how they stay up. I love just wandering around and looking in every shop, its all the same but the gold and leather are really worth a look.
