Reza a lenda que o deus Hércules se apaixonou perdidamente por uma encantadora ninfa chamada Amalfi, de belos olhos azuis e beleza inigualável. No entanto, ela morreu jovem e ele ordenou que fosse enterrada no lugar mais lindo do mundo, com águas cristalinas como os seus olhos e onde eternamente corresse uma brisa doce como o seu sorriso.

É a lenda que se conta na Costa Amalfitana, na Itália. Bonita história, não? Pouco importa se verdadeira ou não, é encantadora.

this is a big tourist area for southern italy-esp. in the summer months but if you do want to get the most of the weather and the area i recommend going in early may and avoiding august at all costs( locals go on holiday during this time so most shops are closed and its also the hottest month of the year) and if public transportation doesnt scare you it might be easier and cheaper to stay in naples and take the train to these spots.

The first time I went I was blown away, it really is breaktaking! Amalfi, Praiano, Ravello, Positano, the views are amazing wherever you are. Best tip: rent a ‘motorino’ (scooter) and enjoy the breeze, travelling by car is too difficult on those tiny roads and there is very little parking. More tips on request
