Presque Isle State Park

The exterior of the park has some nice, sandy beaches on the Lake Erie side and decent views of Erie’s skyline on the opposite side. The interior offers excellent hiking opportunities. I stopped here for a few hours en route to a concert in Cleveland and am glad that I made the brief detour.

I love it here.. Two hours away from home…my secret vacation spot….relaxation..or fun…fast pace or slow this place has everything!

Some excellent nature hiking and one of the best places in the country for birdwatching, Presque Isle State Park is perhaps the best of Erie’s features and one of the commonwealth’s many treasures.

Not the greatest place ever but full of interesting beaches and usually can find a spot all to yourself and make it your own private beach. As well you can enjoy a nice flat 18 miles of bike path.
