A review of this place: The Sound of Music
Go to Pelourinho at night, follow the sound of music and you will without fail end up somewhere where you can dance samba the whole night long. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to dance, there will be many locals who will be happy to teach you the basics. I had one of my best birthday parties ever here.

If you want to experience the roots of Capoeira, go to Pelourinho, Fort St. Antonio .. plus there is alot of Afro-Brazilian cultura..
i miss eating abarra and acaraje.
I had gone to Brazil for a capoeira encounter which my Mestre Jogo de Dentro held both in Campinas, SP and Salvador, Bahia. I met so many amazing capoeira angola mestres like Boca Rica, Bigodinho, Lua de Bobo… it was crazy beautiful.
I stayed in a pousada in Itapua while i was in Salvador for most of the trip but I also stayed at the Rasta residencia for a couple nights in Pelourinho… i met some amazing brasileiros and peeps from all over the world. So much good vibez.
