    Worth visiting!

I quite liked the suite I stayed in, though the walk from the elevator to the room is literally over a minute. —and all 3 hallways are that long.

I tried the famous “give the checkin person 20 bucks” trick. She took it and gave us a nice suite. In comparison, the guy at Planet Hollywood (what used to be alladin) didn’t take the money and gave us a decent one, while the lady at Monte Carlo gave us a pretty bad one after seeing no 20 dollar bill…

    3-3-2007.
Yvonne and I and another family we know saw the Phantom here. The Venetian has a theatre built specifically for the Phantom, and the efforts have paid off handsomely.

I think I had the most fun at this hotel with its live “street” performances and indoor Italian city. I’m also a sucker for buildings that have rivers running through them. ;-) Although I could not afford a gongola ride.

The rooms are beautiful and have lots of space. The bathroom is huge—a big plus when you are trying to get ready and there is more than one person in your room. The Blue Man Group is definitely a show I would recommend to anyone to see—A MUST! I love the casino and all the different restaurants they offer. There is quite a bit of walking involved, so if you are not into walking, this is not for you.

Madame Tusseau’s wax museum was an idea my friend and I had – until we realized it cost $24 per person to get in! Yikes.

The Venetian is gorgeous – the gondola rides too short for their price – but it’s still beautiful.

Our gondolier, Dino said that the owner and his wife loved Venice so much that he built this hotel for her birthday. Once the other tower is built, this gift will cost him billions of dollars!

Tao (nightclub and Asian bistro) is located here; the statue of Buddha is worth seeing.

    Ciao!

    Not worth it!

The Venetian is worth a brief visit, but I wouldn’t stay there again. The rooms may be large, but they lack the luxurious feel you’ll find at Bellagio for the same price.

This place impressed me the most while I stayed in Las Vegas. You can take actual gondola rides on river canals that run in and around the hotel. I was especially happy when they served gelato, it was delicious :)

Home to the very popular Blue Man Group, this hotel has a clouded ceiling that makes many people run into others because it is so mezmerizing. All along through the inside, trailing down the shops is a canal in which you can take a gondola ride. There are many shops in the Venetian for every taste. Restaurants are also found here as well. The Blue Man Group is a very entertaining show (which I’ve also seen) and I highly recommend it. If you get a chance, walk to the big square ground and try to find the man painted all in white: he barely moves a muscle, and it’s quite fascinating ;)
