I was standing toward the back of the crowd – not at the very back, cause you never know who (or what) might sneak up on you – in the last room of the underground vaults. As the tourguide was talking someone stepped in front of me (I’m 5’2" so standing at the back is not conducive to seeing) so my view was cut off. I stood up on my tiptoes and craned my neck to see around the tall person in front of me. When I could see the young, blonde tourguide again her face had transformed into that of an old hag, wrinkled with grey hair. I was surprised and lost my footing. When I looked back again her face had gone back to normal. I was freaked out. I didn’t tell the tourguide what I had seen, I didn’t even tell my boyfriend until we were well on our way back to the hotel. over 6 years agoChilling.... by LouiseMacI’ve been to the Vaults and Mary King’s Close (both underground and in Edinburgh). Mary King’s Close was quiter, less touristised and VERYSCARY! They are both very chilling and eerie places, and fascinating to visit. Not for the faint-hearted though, you will feel tight in your chest and cold, and you might even hear something that isn’t a sound effect or see a shadow move. They’re supposed to be very haunted! over 7 years ago |
