It’s more than worth to visit it and I enjoyed every day I spend there with my family.

Try to avoid “borrachudos” (not an easy thing!!!)

Praia Jabaquara (only by boat) is a must

This is such a beautyful place… beaches are gorgeous… Crossing to the far side of the island to see Castelhanos beach is a shaky trip, but the almost virgin beaches are worth it. I want to go back… just for taking more pictures

Calm beaches on the side that faces the mainland. There are two good beaches for surfing: Castelhanos (by jeep) and Bonete (only by foot or boat). Great spots for windsurfing too (try Ponta das Canas up north). The nightlife was better a few years ago, but I guess it’s still alright.
