You can access Mt. Colden in like 50 ways. You can bushwack, take the trap dyke after using the hitchup-matildas, you can use the regular east side trail that splits from the Mt Marcy trail too. You can also Ice Climb or Rock Climb the slides and face of Avalanch Lake areas.
