    Worth visiting!

The first time I went to Murky Coffee, I had a “Coffeemaker” ... kind of their idea of a “boilermaker” ... a beer with a shot of whiskey you drop in. this was a foamed glass of milk with a shot of expresso.

Clever people. And I had fun.

Oh my god, they are magnificent. We’ve been going there since they opened, and to the Common Grounds before that. It is incredible coffee. The parking sucks, but you’re not in Clarendon because you don’t walk, have four dogs, drive a Prius, and wear pink, right?

    Worth visiting!

Murky Coffee took over the space formerly occupied by Common Grounds. The latter suffered from an abundance of “attitude” on the part of the staff, which is why I stopped going.

I’ve been back a couple times since the re-christening. The place is even more laptop friendly than before—there are power strips all over the place and, of course, free wifi. But the food/drink offerings are rather meager, compared to Common Grounds, and it’s a cash-only joint.
