Princess Cakes!
The Mandarin and Strawberry Princess cakes are amazing, even if you’re not really a cake person (I’m not)!

Starbucks is to coffee as...
Murchies is to TEA! Wish we had Murchies in the States, but this gives me reason to go to BC!

Safe, delicious, warm
What a delightful delightful little coffee shop. My family stopped in here for a Christmas Eve drink to welcome my uncle off the ferry and I ran into an old friend working here. I wish Edmonton had this kind of breezy, sort of lofty little cafe tucked into an old government-type building downtown. It feels very Victoria, and you will not be disappointed to come in here for a spot of tea out of the rain when it’s blustery outside, as it was for us today. Their apple strudel is not to be missed, friends. That being said, the muffins are not entirely scrumptious and the teapots are wont to spill as you pour. Well worth these setbacks on an afternoon downtown, though.
