Yachats

My great-grandparents used to live in Yachats. My mother remembers visiting them as a child, seeing Cape Perpetua and Heceta Head every couple of years. I just visited for the first time about 5 months ago. This is a Must See on the Oregon coast!

This is by far my favorite city on the coast to visit and stay at. It’s calm and not very crowded. They even have some great hotels and restaurants!

Yachats is a great place to visit. Go hiking at Cape Perpetua. Hang out in the tiny town and shop. Go play on the beach in the bay. Stop at all of the little roadside beaches! Go to Heceta Head lighthouse at low tide and check out the tide pools! So much fun stuff to do.

Near Yachats is a little spot on the coast called ‘the Devil’s Churn.’ Not the punchbowl, the churn.

This is where the ocean comes to make war with the land.
