beautiful, grab a singapore sling from raffles(a beer is nicer but your in sinagpore!), go china town, arab street and little india (and sentosa and the zoo someat i didnt- but my mum gloats its ace there)and be meery i love sinagpore it is truly hot

Seems extremely touristy to me, but there are still parts of it where old people like to hang out and do their shopping. Those with a Chinese/Asian background can easily give this a miss, but if you’re new to Asian culture I guess its worth checking out. There’s a really good dessert stall on Temple Street selling a mango and pomelo dessert. Divine!

There are also some cool boutique hotels and bars in the area. The New Majestic Hotel is one of them.

Not really the place to go to for a typical chinatown experience, but i went to a shopping mall in chinatown and got great food at much cheaper prices than the rest of singapore, and great cheap clothes – even cheaper if you were bigger than the average singaporean and so could buy the stuff they couldn’t sell.

Unless you’ve never been to a Chinatown before, it’s not much to write home about.
