A tip I have about this place

Basically, this place has good food when they haven’t run out of the ingredients to make the food. There is a neat little bookshop in the place, however the bathroom is quite disgusting and often has urine splattered on the toilet seat (even in the ladies room). I don’t mean to give this place a bad review because I have enjoyed the food there many times, however, I’ve realized that you don’t quite get treated very nicely there unless you fit in with their clique. Some of the staff are polite, but several seem very unwelcoming and judgemental. One staff member in particular (she has dreadlocks, just so you know who to avoid) was particularily unwelcoming on several occasions that I have been there, and I have also heard the same thing from two other people I know. Also, the hours aren’t always certain. If you go on a day where the restaurant is supposed to be open until 10:00 pm, they might close early to have a concert. Personally, if you wish to have vegan cuisine, check out the delicious vegetarian restaurant on pembina highway. I especially like the sweet & sour gluten balls. There is also a vegetarian place called affinity vegetable garden, which is downtown by the convention center and I know several people who have said the food is delicious, however, I haven’t been there yet. I like the food at mondragon, however, I think I am going to skip it for other restaurants with better service. On the bright side, the prices aren’t bad.

I heard so much about this place that I had to go there.

Well, its a nice quaint shop, however I have come to the conclusion that I am a carnivor. I like cream which comes from cows and I like honey which comes from bees, and I love chicken. If your not a carnivor, then its the place to be!

Totally Cool

This is a great part of town. The Mondragon is artsy, bohemian… all the words that artsy, bohemian types cringe at the sound of.

There Are Vegans Out Here!

I love Mondragon and have been there many times. Great food and good bookstore too. Just a great vegan hang out.
