We kindof stumbled onto this park- basically, I wanted to get the stamp in my National Park Passport. The North Unit was was great – beautiful, not many people, we will definitely be going back for more than a place to camp!!

We only got to visit the North Unit. I’d like to see the South Unit as well. I’ve heard the south has more wildlife.

As it was, we were in the North Unit on a 95 degree day and so all the animals must have been hiding out in the shade. All we saw was one deer and a handfull of vultures.

We drove the scenic road and stopped to see some amazing views.
