Dubbo

That’s why I want to visit the place. And also she told me so many stories of this little town, where life moves at a much slower pace.

A different world from the very cosmopolitan Sydney, we had a great drive out to Dubbo (in the late southerin hemisphere winter), there were honky-tonk bands playing on the corners, the big skies went forever, the animals seemed happy enough, no neurotic pacing pacing pacing. Sure the enclosures were large enough were sometimes you couldnt see the animals well but hey.

Although a 5 hour drive away, definately worth the trip. I would go again.

The animals all look very relaxed and there was no pacing.

Worth going for the zoo. We saw galapagos tortoises mating, which sounded rather odd and broke my cousin’s camera :O

I’ve been here because I live here. I have spent the last 5 years living in this rural city. I did have thoughts about leaving but after a recent roadtrip of over 4000 km’s and seeing many Sth Eastern towns and cities I now rate Dubbo a bit higher on the list. I could never live in a major city again (I lived in Melbourne most of my life), they are just too darn big. Life is nicer out here.
