Not worth visiting!
oh dear
It’s sad, but one of the places I have such a bad association with I hope never to go to again :-( I am sure it’s perfectly nice, but the visit with my parents in the 1980s was sooooo painful.

Why I want to go to this place
I want to go to Worthing to see another good friend of mine who I’ve never met “in the flesh”.
I started writing to Teresa as a pen-pal in 1994, but nowadays we chat on the phone and send texts and emails. However, due to the distance between us, and both of us having various health problems, we’ve never been able to meet up.
I’d love to go to Worthing – I could see Teresa in person for the first time, and it would also be nice to visit another residential seaside town like the one I live in!

Worth visiting!
OK on a nice day
Its an OK place on a nice day, nice to walk along the seafront with the dog, lots of retired people, plenty of cafes for a cup of tea, a few nightclubs for the kids, all the normal shops in a very ordinary shopping centre, a few decent restaurants, a market every Wednesday in the centre of town. A pier with crappy amusements, but nice to walk up, two theatres (one at the pier), lots of good shows on. Avoid funfair fortnight, early July. Nice old Arcade with individual shops, free museum, easy parking, and its completely flat, so good and friendly for wheelchairs.
