Worth visiting!
Beautiful
Charlevoix is one of the most beautiful towns in Northern Michigan. The beach is a great place to pack a lunch and enjoy a book along the shores of Lake Michigan, and the shopping in town can’t be beat. There are awesome vintage and second-hand stores to explore, as well as some awesome restaurants. Also, there is a unique architectual style in Charlevoix that is interesting to see.

Absolutely Beautiful Charlevoix
This is a gorgegous town. I love the shopping and the atmoshphere. I never want to leave when it’s time to go and I always want to go back! Love it love it love it!

Introduction to Charlevoix

The Laurentians move closer to the shore of the St. Lawrence as they approach what used to be called Murray Bay at the mouth of the Malbaie River. While it can't be pretended that the entire length of Route 138 from Beaupré is fascinating, the Route 362 detour from Baie-St-Paul is scenic, with wooded hills interrupted by narrow riverbeds and billowing meadows, ending in harsh cliffs plunging down to the river. The air is scented by sea salt and rent by the shrieks of gulls. Baie-St-Paul is an artists' colony, and there are several good-to-memorable inns between there and Cap à l'Aigle, a few miles beyond La Malbaie. St-Siméon is where travelers catch the ferry to the southern shore of the St. Lawrence. Farther along, Baie Ste-Catherine affords summer visitors numerous opportunities for whale-watching.
