Cape Tribulation

You will notice that there are loads of green ants. We heard you can eat them and it turns out to be true. You more just lick their bums (kind of crude I know but that is what you do) and it has a kind of fizzy tingling sensation.

Cape Trib is awesome. It is basically as far north as you can go without four wheel drive. It truly is a great place to get out and explore.

I had the privelage of staying at the Tropical Research Center located at Cape Tribulation. This is such a unique area, and so far in my life, this is the most beautiful place that I have ever seen. If you are ever in Cairns, take the opportunity to drive a couple of hours and plan to spend a few days there to see dense rainforest, swim in crystal clear water holes, and see all of the wildlife there.

Cape Trib is one of the coolest places I have been to in the world. We stayed in a hostel in the middle of a rainforest, took a night tour, and visited very cool places along the way including a tropical fruit stand!
