McPherson

Lived here until I was 12. My dad continues to live there, so unfortunately I have to return. Small town, nothing to do, not even any good places to eat. Mostly fast food (of course I’m spoiled, I live in Charleston which has TONS of places to eat that are amazing). Was sad to leave, but now I realize that’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Once I convinced one of my friends to visit there with me, and I feel kind of bad for that. Do yourself a favor; avoid like the plague, and if you live there- get out while you can. The world is full of many things that are bigger and better.

Ok, so I wasn’t sure whether to say this town was worth visiting or not, but I figured why not? It’s a fairly small town (pop. around 14,000 i believe) with lots of churches and bars. It’s a clean, rich town with a very good education system…and a SUPER wal-mart :P It’s pretty safe, too. I often walk alone around town late at night and have never had problems. The only thing I don’t like about this town is there are a lot of uppity people. We have the highest teen pregnancy rate in Kansas but I’m guessing that’s because 90% of the teens here can’t find anything better to do than get drunk and screw around. Anyway, now that i’ve made McPherson seem sort of sleezy…I guess it’s just because I was born and raised here, but the town is comforting and welcoming.
