In 1972 I was an exchange student and spent the summer in Japan.

A place totally worth visiting. It’s the Soho(NY) of Tokyo with extremely trendy clothing shops and the most delicious ramen you will ever eat. More adventurous people can crash into the dive bars and eat where the Japanese people will try to talk to you and learn about you. A great majority of people speak English here as this is right next to Daikanyama. You are seconds walk from an even trendier restaurant area where you will find many foreigners.

Beware though. Trendy as it may be this area is one of the most expensive in Tokyo for dining and having a good time.

I recommend taking a look at the ancient Samurai store. Where you can buy amour, masks, and a piece of Japan. Very free fun.
