I was born here!

I live at 9th and C. It’s beautiful. Weeping willows. Generally quiet. Tompkins Square is close, as are many bars and cute coffee shops.

Yum.

I moved to 10th Street bet A & B in 1983. Loved it immediately, Bombed out buildings everywhere. Junkies, the mentally ill and other shady characters. But a great vitality and spirit among the lon-time residents as well as the newcomers. My favorite place was the Pyramid club which is still there and operating (albeit not at the artistic height of the 80s and 90s). I owned the Limbo Lounge, which was on 10th bet A & B and then later at 9th Street bet B & C.
