"the friendly village with country charm"

I’ve lived here for almost 10 years and love it. I spent the latter half of my childhood and all my teenage years here. It is a rapidly growing northwest suburb that went from a population of 5,000 in 2000 to an estimated 20,000 in 2006. It features the Midwest’s largest adult residential community, the Prime Outlet Mall, lovely dining at the 50s-like drive-in Dairy Mart, a charming downtown with a gazebo as its centerpiece, and a large industrial base, and growing commercial building base. Recreational attractions include Deicke Park, Stingray Bay aquatic center, and Pinecrest Golf Course. The area is rich in history and was founded more than 150 years ago. The city prides itself in its state-of-the-art educational, recreational, and municipal facilities as well. Huntley takes its growing pains in great stride and works hard to maintain its small-town character while achieving progress everyday.
