This village of 28,000 is located along the fox river, 45 miles northwest of chicago. It features a lovely downtown, different styles and ages of houses (although primarily 1990s housing stock), and the lovely outdoor lifestyle center malls Algonquin Commons and the Algonquin Galleria, which feature a wide breath of major national retailers and upscale shops as well as fine dining. The Algonquin Corporate Campus is under construction which will help continue to make Algonquin a great place to work, as well as live.
