Bouillon aka: Bouyon

I was well into my sixties when I visited but there’s enough of the little boy left in me to have loved the castle!

You must visit the fortified castle and take a tour. (Only in French when I was there…or at least that was the language of the next scheduled tour I could understand.) The torture chamber room where they show various ways they made the captured squirm made my hair stand on end!

If you speak “Americanized” French, you may have some trouble understanding the Belgians; I did anyway but they were friendly, smiled and like the French I’ve met, please as all get out that an American could speak French (or was at least trying. :)

I was only here for a day trip and wish I had had more time to walk around, lounge at the park, swim in the river and be leisurely. I’ll definitely go back.
