Cheung Chau aka: 長洲

a nice break from the bustle of hong kong.
smells alot better too.

praya road is so touristy, it hurts a little bit.
everything else is fantasic!

I grew up here on this island. People don’t drive here – they bike or walk. People here are friendly. Food is cheap and yummy. And compared to Hong Kong Island, Cheung Chau has fresher air and amazing scenery, which I love the most.

This is actually where my Dad’s family are from. It provides a welcome contrast from the crazyness of HK! Completely different, more chilled and full of little lanes and shops. I couldn’t live here, but it’s nice to come for a break now and then and naturally, for seeing relatives!
