Who needs vegetables when there is banana bread to be bought?

A tip I have about this place
In Autumn, stop by for a ginger cookie and hot cider.
(Then go buy lots of delicious root veggies!)

How this place changed my life
Even though I live in the upper part of Washington Heights, I find I come here at least twice a week. Quite honestly, after several years of suburban supermarket produce, I’d forgotten what real fruit and vegetables are like—grown for their taste, not for long-haul transit and shelf life.
Just in the past month, I have eaten currants (red and black both), heirloom tomatoes, sugar plums—and I’ve only barely touched the surface of what’s available there.
