The first time I went to this place
I didn’t know Antonio Gaudí existed prior to arriving in Barca.. a week later i was totally and utterly obsessed with his work bringing back a number of books and hundreds of photo’s.. I tried so hard to capture the magic to share it with everyone back home, but in all honesty, you’ll never see anything like it, and should see his work first hand… I highly recommend it.. As for everyone taunting you with the “crime” issues.. i had no issues whatsoever, and was traveling on my own. Obviously, stay alert and keep your wit’s about you, but, it’s not as bad as everyone had made it sound to me..

A review of this place: Gaudi-tastic!
God I f*ing love Gaudi! Go to Barcelona and if you do nothing but tour his many buildings and eat tapas, it will be worth it! Just think about the idea of being one of those lucky bourgeois muthas who got to live here back in Fin de Siecle Spain…Damn.

The first time I went to this place
I went at night and that has got to be the best time to see it.
The rooftop at night was just magical. The organic shapes and lights and sounds of the city….amazing.

Rouault Exhibit
When I was there they were having a free exhibit on the French artist Georges Rouault, who happens to be my favorite artist. So it was an amazing combination of Gaudi and Rouault!!
