A review of this place: I gotta hand it to the port..  — 8 months ago

    Worth visiting!

We have a pretty nice airport compared to some places. It might be costing a bazillion dollars to build, but the new stuff sure gives it a “It’s good to be home” feeling when you get off the plane.

One of my favorite things about this airport is the talking drinking fountains!

I flew out of a gate on the southeast side at dawn and watched the sunrise over Mt. Rainer. Wow! This is the most beautiful airport gate I have ever seen.

    And only time…..
I was going for a Wade Cook seminar (I think that dude is either bankrupt or facing fraud charges) in Feb of 1993. The seminar was pretty much useless, and I did enjoy Seattle. Too cold, though.

I was waiting for my luggage at carousel 13, where my bag was supposed to come out. Turns out it had appeared on carousel 14, and someone had removed it from the carousel itself and placed it on the side near over-sized baggage.

Not only that, but the airport had a power failure while I was waiting. It took my nearly 2 hours to get my bag.

I always enjoy the salmon on the ground in the main terminal concourses. I admit I usually walk along their wavy route, but omit the spiral at the end/beginning. The luggage-carrying ones are the coolest.

Witness to a man having a heart attack here...  — 1 year ago

I was on a layover here from Portland to Detroit (go figure) and as I was going to my next gate, I heard someone scream out. I turned my head, and a crew of about 6 EMS workers had a man pinned down on the ground with his shirt open. I guess he had even stopped breathing too because I heard one of the EMS crew say “he’s breathing again.” I think/hope he was gonna be ok. Scary moment. Nice airport though. Had a great Veggie sandwhich at a place right next to a Sushi restaurant, sorry can’t remember the names.

I can’t remember what the place was called, but I drank the most amazing cup of coffee in this airport.

Slept here for about 6 hours en-route to Vancouver, BC.

Pretty friendly place, as far as airports go.

A tip I have about this place  — 2 years ago

    Not worth it!

Don’t go there to doze/sleep as everything is quite uncomfortable. I saw someone sleeping on the floor and truly that is your best bet. I was there for far too long one night. It seems like an ok place just not for long periods of time.

it has a little character, hard to explain really. I enjoyed 2-hour connection to ANC at Seattle. Will definitely come back to visit the city for the first time!
