The last time I went to this place
We were actually looking for 2 letterboxes there. We found one.

A tip I have about this place
If you are scared of heights (like me), you may not make it all the way to the top. I tried to climb up to check out the view, but it was too scary for me.

A review of this place: beautiful view at that top of the column!
And while you’re in astoria you should check out that Goonies home, the home that was used in the movie The Goonies!

A review of this place
It really is just a tower that you walk up to the top of, but it’s kind of fun anyways. The area’s pretty and you can see for miles. The whole thing is painted with pictures related to the history of the area. There are some slugs in the grassy areas if you care to look for them.

A must see if you are in the neighborhood
The column is fascinating. A historical mural winds it’s way up the outside of the column – including the Lewis and Clark expedition… It’s a good climb at 125 feet tall and fun to fly the little airplane gliders off of. The territorial view from the top is amazing.
