This is the first mountain I ever climbed. It was really cloudy out both times I went but I really enjoyed it!

Mt. Pisgah

Near Buckspring overlook or Frying Pan on the Park. Mt.Pisgah got it’s name from the Bible. One of the troops that were responsible for moving out the Indians was accompanied by a minister who was credited for naming it. Most of this property was owned by the Vanderbilts bought from Clingman whom later Clingmans dome was named after. Pisgah means a mountain East of Jordan refer to Num 21:20 23:14- 24 Deut 3:17 3:27 4:49 34:1-4 Josh 12:3 King James version Bible

Find out why they call them the Smoky Mountains!

Watching the clouds roll over the mountains at twilight can be a very calming experience, this is one of my favorite destinations!

My 2nd favorite mountain get-away!

I’ve loved Mount Pisgah, ever since I first went there over 20 years ago. My favorite lodging, and I highly recommend this place is the Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway!
