Worth visiting!
Bucyrus is one of those countless Rust Belt towns that appear to have seen better days, but which are hanging on nevertheless. This small central Ohio town appears to be anchored by three or four manufacturing plants which provide enough stability and wealth to keep the town teetering on the edge of viability.
Don’t miss the big ol’ murals near the center of town, and just off the main drag is a fascinating little factory that manufactures handmade copper pots and other such stuff. They occasionally offer tours and it’s like stepping back a hundred years in time to see how they make their products. (In case you’re tempted to buy, be aware that the waiting list to buy one of their pots is over two years.)
