Bonners Ferry

I can recall a summer vacation/job interview trip across E. Washington and into Idaho in the back of a hot stuffy station wagon sipping “super sips” drinks and recovering from an itchy bout of chicken pox. One of my best memories was a stroll along the lake in Bonners Ferry and someone with a horrified look at the sight of chickenpox covered me walking along in my tank top! Nevertheless, Dad did not get the job!

We barely escaped the onslaught of snow with our tiny car. If you visit in winter, be prepared for the possibility of getting snowed in from time to time. We didn’t really get to see much of the town and area since it was all closed up and under snow during a holiday.
