One for each year of Victoria's reign

The 65 steps (about 100 feet) were carved out of solid limestone by slaves in 1793 and 1794 using hand tools and was later named in honour of the 65 years of Queen Victoria’s reign.

At the top of the staircase is Fort Fincastle overlooking Nassau from Bennet’s Hill.

Nice walk

This was a relatively short walk from where the cruise ships dock. Once you get to the Queen’s Staircase there is quite a nice view and Fort Fincastle is located right next to it. I highly suggest it in the morning. The steps are actually next to this waterfall and they are carved out of sandstone.
