It is an old castle that was converted to a prison.Many daring escapes.a airplane/glider was covertly built in the top of the castle.american and british ingenuity at its best. It’s in the old GDR area of Germany.there is a book that was recently published( in the last 3 years) it’s worth a read.One more little know aspect of WW2
